The Talent Scout (Part IV)

So having finished the first "Chapter" I thought I'd just expand a bit on the setting.

Like my Club series, it's a world with a disproportionate number of women compared to men. Just, accept that in the conceit of the setting, these innumerable babes are totally willing to fight to the bitter end just for the chance of getting sex and money.
Anyway, all the world's major entertainment forms are centered around... Female Combat! Most matches are entirely safe, practically every bar and gym hosting fights that rarely even end in a true KO. But that's not where this story takes place.

Talent Scouts like Wyatt exist to find the most crowd pleasing fighters around. Hypersexed beauty models with a willingness to do anything to get to the top and stay there. Normally starting out in minor fighting establishments like Taylor's brothel or in underground deathmatch societies, these women vie to become true celebrities and champions.

With skill and some luck, talented fighters can make it to the world stage, the Pro Leagues. Here there are differing types of match-ups and Pro-Circuits that I'll get to in other chapters. Given time, and after meeting certain prerequisites, a Pro fighter is able to challenge her circuits reigning Champ to a deathmatch. The Champ's need only accept one direct challenge every six months, and after five years, are allowed to retire with an insane amount of fortune and sponsorships. Many circuits have yearly tournaments where the tourney winner is automatically matched for a title deathmatch, unconnected to the two other challengers. Few Champions ever survive to retirement, losing their edge or getting cocky a few years in (if they last even that long).

Many fighters try it alone, but over 50% of Champs have a Talent Scout helping them. Finding training, the best matches, and the best medical treatments available for their fighters while typically acting as lovers and potential witnesses against those that might murder them to get ahead. Scout's take a percentage of their sponsored fighter's winnings in return for their services, Wyatt's contract is a flat 10%, while 15% is common (unscrupulous Talent Scout's sometimes go as high as 35%). It is every Scout's dream to get his fighter to one day retire a Champion, those few who have succeeded usually go on to manage other women for pure fun, with their former Champ's fortune making them rich on just a small percentage. Such manager's can get pretty much anyone they want to fight for them, and lead the high life without ever having to try again.
